2003 - Foundation

Foundation - Zumax s.r.o.

The company was founded under the name Zumax s.r.o. by Martin Zubatý as the sole owner and managing director. Starting as a small company with two employees, focused on retail sales of ironing equipment, developers, and spare parts for textile and clothing production.

2004 - Expansion

Expansion and Move to Cejl

Zumax expanded its offering with sewing machines and other equipment for textile and clothing production. The company moved to Cejl 103 in Brno. Number of employees increased to three and the company began providing service for sold products.

2004 - E-commerce

2004

First E-shop Launch

Registration of sicistroje-shop.cz domain marked a turning point in company history. The first e-commerce website was created, offering online sales of machines, equipment, accessories, and parts for textile and clothing production.

2006 - Strima Partnership

2006

Birth of Strima s.r.o.

Important milestone in company history - Strima s.r.o. was established. Partnership was formed between Martin Zubatý and Strima Sp.z.o.o., represented by Edwarda Stoneawska. Martin Zubatý became the managing director.

2006 - Trade Fair

First Trade Fair Participation

Shortly after establishing Strima s.r.o., the company presented itself at the international Styl/Kabo trade fair in Brno, supported by colleagues from Strima Sp.z.o.o., Karol Ciborowski and Tomasz Zaton.

2006 - Name Change

The company changed its name to Strima Czech s.r.o.

2006 - New Location

Move to Kornovova Street

Strima Czech s.r.o. moved to new premises on Kornovova 7 in Brno. Number of employees grew to five and thanks to new mechanics providing service, the company gained additional customers.

2006 - Trade Fair

Styl/Kabo Trade Fair

Strima Czech s.r.o. participated in the Styl/Kabo trade fair again, where 684 exhibitors from 27 countries and almost 17,000 visitors were present. The company presented new products at unprecedented prices.

2006 - Janome

2006

Janome Exclusive Partnership

The company expanded its offering with domestic Janome sewing machines, obtaining exclusive representation for Czech Republic and Slovakia. Janome is a Japanese company with ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 quality certificates.

2009 - Hasicka

Move to Hasičská Street

Strima Czech s.r.o. moved to new premises on Hasičská 811/14 in Brno, with larger showroom and warehouses. Number of employees grew to eight.

2011 - Website Redesign

Redesign of the website to newer, more modern layout with more products.

2013 - Zelezna

Expansion to Železná Street

The company expanded again and moved to new premises on Železná street in Brno, with large showroom, warehouses, and parking.

2015 - Prostejov

Prostějov Branch Opening

Strima Czech opened a branch in Prostějov.

Opening of Prague branch on Argentinská 38, with small office and two employees.

2017 - Prague Expansion

Move to larger premises on Oderská street, Praha 6.

Another redesign to our current version of website running on modified open-source opencart software.

2020 - Ripska

Move to Current Headquarters

Moving to new premises on Řípská 2b in Brno. Number of employees exceeded 25 and the premises have more than 2000 m².

2021 - Prague Kostelecka

Prague Branch Expansion

Expansion of Prague branch and move to Kostelecká address, Praha, with more than 340 m² full of machines and accessories.
